A Simplified Probability Equation for Gunshot Primer Residue (GSR) Detection

Abstract
The probability of finding gunshot primer residue particles when only a portion of a specimen is to be searched is calculated exactly, without the use of a simplifying assumption made by previous authors. Probabilities obtained by the exact method are compared with those published previously.
